Tripnotica 07.25.07 [July 30th, 2007 | 8:14 am]

The Tripnotica exhibition was a blast! Again, thank you to all of my guests for showing up and supporting me. I truly appreciate it! It was also great to meet some lovely people from Auralgasms (hailing from yours truly's home town of Detroit. Yes! The musical scene isn't just Eminem and Kid Rock after all!) and to be introduced to their impeccable taste in music. Here are a few photos from the event..

Recognition and Exhibition [July 9th, 2007 | 8:28 am]
[Tags|, , ]

Two of my pieces, "Endymion" and "Goddess of Dreams", have been selected for publication in CMYK Magazine's Summer-Fall 2007 issue coming out in August. I am absolutely honored, because they were apparently chosen by an illustrator I greatly admire -- John Hendrix.

Also -- I will be exhibiting a few pieces at the next Tripnotica NYC event held in the Galapagos Art Space in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Here is the flyer announcing the event:

Live music, live art. What more can you ask for? The musical selection is all trip-hop/downtempo/chillout -- with artists I absolutely adore, like Natalie Walker! I am quite excited to be shown at this event.

I know I'll see Karyn ([info]belladonnastrap) there.. Who else is going?

On Tuesday, October 24th I was invited to be the featured artist for an HSBC client event, joined by Moet Hennessy USA, at HSBC's International Premier Center.

The following works were exhibited:

Orpheus I
Orpheus II
Orpheus III
Orpheus IV
Persephone: Winter
Ophelia
Sublimation: Precipitation

There were other pieces requested, but they weren't available to be shown at the time.

The organizers and guests at the event were so gracious and kind towards me, I couldn't be more thankful.

SVA Undergraduate Illustration Open Studios [April 24th, 2006 | 1:35 am]

[Feeling |exhausted]
[Audio |The National Geographic Channel]

I will be exhibiting some pieces that I've completed this year at our Senior Open Studios, even though I turned down my studio at the beginning of the year due to the comfort of working in my bedroom at my preferred nocturnal hours. (And the fact that I paint in the nude. Well. No, not really. Well, sometimes.)

It would be great some of you could make it. :)
