Urban Ecology
This was done a while back as both a promotional image and a cover for a the children's version of the book, Urban Ecology by Pamela Peeters. (Beta site available here.) I can finally post it now that it's been publicly released. :)


Urban Ecology

I was asked to depict two versions of a woman, with one serving as a representation of her Anima and a connection to nature. I used the butterfly motif as symbolism for the spirit, in the gradient colors of the chakras.

awesome! glad to see you have been keeping yourself creatively busy (and to hear you'll be around LJ more posting art work for the year ;) Good to see the change. 2009 is alllll about CHANGE. I can't emphasize that enough.

Haha yeah, I've been doing art.. just too lazy to post it. But I'm going to play a bit of catch-up. Totally. :) I feel good about this year. Looking forward to Chinese New Year! You'll be there, right? Will Robyn?

well seeing Alice art has definitely brightened up my friend's list *^^* I really adore the colors in this picture!

I meant to send you a message but my limited (i.e. mostly stolen) net connection has been unreliable. But a few weeks go I had a dream that you came to visit me and you were wearing this beautiful purple and silver kimono. I just wanted to let you know I am thinking about you!!

Oooh pretty. I love her eyes. Did I tell you the print I ordered FINALLY showed up? WTF at the USPS. It's been like SIX months! You live in Brooklyn and I'm in Queens! Oi.

FYI: A friend of mine wants a copy of Blueberry Girl signed for her daughter so imma go. Maybe sneak in a way to get Stardust signed too, dunno if that's allowed tho.
