HSBC / Moet Hennessy USA Client Event - Solo Exhibition
On Tuesday, October 24th I was invited to be the featured artist for an HSBC client event, joined by Moet Hennessy USA, at HSBC's International Premier Center.

The following works were exhibited:

Orpheus I
Orpheus II
Orpheus III
Orpheus IV
Persephone: Winter
Ophelia
Sublimation: Precipitation

There were other pieces requested, but they weren't available to be shown at the time.

The venue where the event took place.

My friends who came to support me. (Josh, the ninja Diana showing off one of my postcards unintentionally, and Duane)

I chatted with the jazz trio a bit before the event started. They were quite pleasant.

The organizers and guests at the event were so gracious and kind towards me, I couldn't be more thankful.

Woah! Looks sophisticated. :D Go you.

By the way, I've never said anything, but the way you work the light in your paintings is AMAZING. The lighting is the hardest thing for me (and lighting, I believe, is one of the MOST CRITICAL parts, unfortunate for me).

The colors in your paintings are always just beautiful.

I credit the organizer, Ms. Valerie Lee.. She put quite some effort into it!

Thank you sooo much.. :) I'm obsessed with light and color, so it makes me happy to hear that it translates through my work. I think the trick to anything in art (Or.. life, even?) is just practice.. If you want to improve on lighting, then focus on observing how light falls on things and think about how you can reproduce the same effect. Train the eye, train the mind, train the hand. :)
